Second Life is an extension of my real life, but in so many ways it is an escape. Or, perhaps more accurately, a way to live out experiences that would be impossible otherwise.
Browsing at Kustom9, I happened to see something that made me stop. Not a dress or decor, but a little dog, the Diva Dog Shih Tzu by Black Bantam. A little dog that reminded me so much of our own Shih Tzu who died in 2014.
I doubt the creator ever thought that her lovely little Diva Dog would bring back so many memories, but it did. And when I made the purchase from the Gacha, do you know that I received the one that looked just like our little boy? I have to admit that I cried a little when I realized this.
Our little guy was such a sweet little dog. I can no longer cuddle him or comfort him, but I wanted to take a picture to honor him and all those other doggies that we have loved.
In Second Life we can do so much. For today, remembering so many good times, I chose to rise above the clouds in ChiMia’s High Fliers Chair with this little dog. I imagined holding our own little boy and showing him the sights, cuddling him close and enjoying a fun ride.
Here’s to the most loving little rescue dog that we could have ever imagined. I’ll see you again someday.
